I think the coops look great. I bought 6 baby chicks four years ago and made many mistakes (none are still alive ). I am going to try again probably in the spring. We made our last coop - a tractor design. It had some pros and cons. The biggest con was that it was so heavy, I couldn't move it by myself. I am considering a stationary coop, but am not sure. |

So sorry to hear that things didn't work out with your first set of chicks. If you don't mind sharing, this would be a great place to share what you've learned from your experience!

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure the first batch of chicks was a major learning experience, and that your next group will go a lot smoother for you!

| I just realized that I should probably be writing in the "chickens" area, as opposed to the "introduction" area. I am new to expressing myself on a computer, so I am sure more mistakes will follow. I guess I will write over there. |

Perhaps, but I don't see a reason to move this thread - it's basically an introduction to why you are here on the forum. You didn't ask a specific question, just gave a bit of background about yourself and your situation.
