And no I'm not talking about a husband...I'm talking about my beloved Appy Dakota. He has had cancer for about 4 years now.Its just gotten to the point to where we are seriously thinking about putting him down. Before he got his cancer,he was a 50k show jumper. He has been a show horse his whole life.We have recently decided that instead of mourning his soon to be death...we are going to do a bunch of fun stuff.I.e-last weekend we went to Pioneer town for the weekend and camped out with him and his buddy Rafid.Anyways..to get to the point:anyone know of any remedies to help cancer? It breaks my heart to have to put him down.I love that horse to bits and would love to see him have a little bit longer of a life. Thanks so much for reading!

Sorry, unfortunately, I think only God has that remedy and has not shared it with us yet.
Give Appy an extra treat and love from us!

Losing a horse is alway hard, and I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

For what it's worth, I love the idea of doing "fun stuff" with them! My trainer took her two beloved compaigners to the beach when they were quite old just for fun. They weren't sick yet or anything, but they were each probably over 25 and had been retired and out to pasture for so long, just with barn kids spoiling them and riding them bareback around the pasture. She thought it was time for them to have a special day again.

No concrete advice, just sympathy for you and your family!
