Assembly Really is Easy
Wait a minute...SHOW ME THAT KIT AGAIN.

Before making our kits available to you, we wanted to make sure they're everything we're telling you they are..

So, we got two "volunteers" to put together a 10x20 "Frame Only" kit on our sales lot.

These are the only tools they brought with them:

  • Cordless drill (the bit comes with the kit)
  • Socket Wrench with 9/16" Socket
  • Hammer
  • 30' Tape Measure (50' or 100' is recommended for larger kits)
  • Small Crow Bbar
  • 4' Level (not shown)
  • 2 Ladders (not shown)
  • Start With A Solid Foundation

Insert the bolts thru the splice plates
Make sure the frame is level

The most critical part - and the most time consuming - is to make sure the foundation is square and level.

Vic and Marie took extra care when putting together the base before going forward with the wall supports and roof trusses.

As you can tell from these pictures, our parking lot is definitely NOT level! Vic needed to block the foundation runners in several places.

TIP: Don't fully tighten the nuts on the splice plates
    until your base is square.

Blocking may be needed Make sure the frame is square

TIP: After your frame is completely assembled,
    you can remove the blocking.

    Remember...

    ALL PRE-ASSEMBLED:

  • Trusses
  • Wall Panels
  • Uprights
  • Headers.
  • ALL INCLUDED IN THE KIT:

  • Pressure Treated Runners - PRECUT
  • Steel Corner Bracket
  • Steel Splice Plates
  • Bolts, Nuts, Washers, Screws

  • After the base is together, the rest of the assembly
is just a logical step-by-step process.

To keep things going smoothly, Vic and Marie's lay out the
upright supports and the wall panels for the back wall.

Except for the foundation runners, the rest of the
kit components are already put together for you.

One person should steady the piece...

    Less than 3 Hours!

...While the other person screws it on

    Attention to Detail..Keep edges flush

By following a few simple guidelines and paying attention to the details, it's amazing what teamwork can do!

Hold edges tightly together before attaching

  • One person should hold each piece while the other person screws it together.

  • Take care to keep all sections tightly together and edges flush while attaching them to the base and to each other.

  • Lay out the sections for the front just like the back.
  • Lay roof trusses on top of frame

  • Working together, place the trusses atop the frame.
  • Starting at one end, screw them in to place - one by one.
  •

    Final Tip:
When you start putting the pieces of your frame together, a single screw to hold the pieces in place should be sufficient.

Always set these initial screws at an angle.

    Secure with screws 16" apart

After your frame is complete, go back and add additional screws - as indicated by this picture - to more permanently and securely attach the frame components.

    Final Thought...

"When Horizon first started to look at the idea of a kit, I was somewhat skeptical. There are alot of kits available in the marketplace...How could we compete?

After seeing this kit put together, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that
    our kit is the best

They key is that this kit is virtually put together before you even start. Vic and Marie had the frame
    completed in 2 1/2 hours.

The pieces fit together so perfectly and so tightly that - for some of the sections - Vic had to knock them in with his hammer.

Even before the last screw was set, the frame was absolutely tight, strong and true. No wobbling - no shaking.

I am extremely impressed and proud to be able to offer this product to our customers!"
