Buy Coops Online
It’s been a long time coming, but coops are finally available
to order
on our website! The online store went up quietly a
few weeks ago, and coops are already selling.
If you’ve been toying with the idea of getting one of
our chicken coops, now is the time to buy! With the online
store you can order after normal business hours, on your
own time, and still choose all the colors and options
YOU want.
And if you’re ordering online and have any questions,
you can still get someone on the phone right away during
office hours. Try doing that with big retailers!—We’re
the best of both worlds!
We are also looking forward to expanding the online store
to some of our other products. Soon you’ll be able to
buy stall latches, cupolas, run-in kits, and more!

Join Our Forum
We launched our forum several weeks ago, and the
response has been exciting. Here are some of the
discussions that have been going on:
• Getting started with free range?
“How
do you start to free range chickens?
Who here lets them totally loose, or in a run?
How much space is needed? Any other considerations?”
• Natural
Horsemanship Training: “Has anyone
ever had a horse trained with ‘traditional’ horse
training methods and another horse trained with
‘natural horsemanship’ training methods and what,
if any, differences have you observed between the
horses? Just curious how much of a difference it
makes.”
•
My Hobby: “I like cars. I’ve recently
restored my Ole girl 1982 trans am. You can see
it under the ‘members
rides’ section. It took Best over all
paint at the East Coast Nationals in Wildwood NJ.
And will cart it around the country to numerous
Shows in 09. Any 1 here into CARS??”
The Horizon Structures forum is
a great place to discuss horses, chickens, and the
housing issues that go along with them. Garages
and sheds are also perfect fodder for discussion!

Preview! Steel Frame
Horse Barns
In our relentless quest to give customers what they
want, Horizon will release another new product in
the coming months. In addition to our shed rows,
modulars, and pole barns, we will now be offering
Steel Frame Barns.
The steel frame horse barn is a barn package that
our Amish carpenters assemble for you – unlike other
similar barns, this is not a kit for you to put
together!
This new line of barns
offers the advantages of quick construction, affordable
price, and durable quality. A key feature that sets
this barn apart from the others is the ease of ventilation.
The barn can have vented walls and gables, making
it perfect for hotter climates.

What
is a Magalog?
Our mailing materials for sheds
and garages have undoubtedly left customers underwhelmed
in the past, a fact of which we’ve been very aware
That is why we have been hard at work for the
past several months putting together an awe-inspiring,
information-loaded magalog to showcase our shed
and garage lines.
A magalog is a combination magazine and catalog.
This format provides a totally unique experience
in shed and garage shopping. Hard copies are almost
back from the printers (look for it at the Fall
Carlisle car show!), but the online version is
up and running.
You can’t miss this magalog! It showcases some
of our best structures and answers questions you
didn’t even know you had. Take
a look here This interactive site
allows you to “turn” the pages, zoom, and click
embedded links to jump to other pages. Too cool!
Every
Sale Helps a Horse
Seems like the
current economic situation has touched us all
in one way or another. One way that it's touched
us here at Horizon Structures is that we're acutely
aware of impact this has had on the equine community.
More specifically, horse rescue organizations.
In our own small way, we'd like to help. Starting
at the beginning of 2009 we launched our "Horizon
Cares About Horses Project". Through
this program we will donate $25, from the sale
of any shed row barn, run-in shed or modular barn,
to a qualified charity from a list our customers
help us create.
At the end of the year, we'll tally the donations
and send a check, along with the names of the
contributing customers, to each nominated organization.
So, if you're planning to purchase a barn or run-in
shed, please make sure to let us know which group
you'd like us to contribute to - click
here for list of participating organizations.
