Custom Chicken Coops

Exactly ‘who’ are the folks eagerly welcoming sweet baby chicks and tenderly nurturing them under a heat lamp in a box in the garage for weeks before resettling them into their very own backyard chicken coop?

Those buying chicken coops and their reasons for doing so can be as numerous and varied as there are breeds of domestic chickens! However, at Horizon Structures, we find the people who buy our larger chicken coops for sale fall into a few broad categories…

Probably the biggest group of people buying large chicken coops are those who are truly concerned about the food supply. They want a measure of control over what they feed themselves and their families.

Large, pre-built chicken coops allow people to feed their families fresh, wholesome eggs from chickens whose environment and diet is monitored and regulated. Raising your own birds also ensures meat that is free from antibiotics or other chemicals and processed in a way that is 100% under your control from beginning to end.

Whether you are raising a flock for meat or for eggs one of the best ways to keep chickens as healthy as possible is to make sure they have a clean and sanitary place to live. This is why our walk-in chicken enclosures have optional features such as pull-out litter trays, epoxy-coated flooring, and coops with electricity, all of which make cleaning and maintenance a breeze.

Our walk-in chicken coops are designed to help make caring for your chickens easy and to ensure your flock stays safe from outside predators. Our larger, prefab chicken coops typically come with an attached, covered run, or you can choose an option without one. Plus, you can customize your structure with virtually any color combination imaginable and smart details like cupolas and weathervanes. These aren’t the only customizations available either. With our custom chicken coops, you can enjoy loads of option add-ons.

Take a Look Inside our Custom Chicken Coops...

With a larger, custom chicken coop you have the luxury of extra space. Add a solid wall or (galvanized) wire partition to separate your flock or create a feed/storage room.

Adding a partition not only can keep your flock contained, but also keeps them safe from possible disagreements from other chickens!

Storage is always a bonus with any structure and the option to add an extra space to your chicken coop is a huge space saver. This extra space allows you to keep tools, feed, and more out of reach from your chickens, but in an organized location for you.
