Add Wheels to your coop!

Moving your chicken coop house just got easier! Here you can see the Dutch Chicken Coop with wheels to make it portable.

Powder-coated metal wagon chassis includes handle and 4 pneumatic tires. Steer the front tires with the handle for easy maneuverability. The tractor chassis takes the place of the fixed, pressure treated wood legs / base. The 2 front tires swivel for easier turning.

Use your riding lawn mower or an ATV to make the move easier.

Here we’ve lifted the coop up on a forklift so you can see how the wheels are attached.  See a close up of the tire.

Chicken Coop Exterior Features

The large window on the front of this 15-20 chicken coop includes glass panes both top and bottom. Raise the lower pane from inside the coop to take advantage of the screen and allow fresh air inside. Vinyl coated wire mesh, fastened securely on the coop exterior, covers the screened portion of the window.

Any predator would be hard pressed to chew through this barrier. Chickens stay safe! A generous 54″ w x 7″ h cut-out on the side of the coop allows in even more light and fresh air. Vinyl coated mesh covers the opening and protects the chickens inside the coop from would-be predators. A hinged wood panel with twist latch allows you to close it tightly when the weather turns bad.

Pressure treated wood legs and base keep our large chicken coop elevated. This provides a shady spot for the hens as well as keeping the inside of the chicken coop houses dry and cooler in summer. Being raised off the ground may even deter some predators.
